Native to Hawaii and the South Pacific, Acalypha is a low mounding, trailing tropical perennial or annual with long, soft, fuzzy, bright red catkin-like dangling flowers. They make an excellent hanging basket or spiller in a combination planting. Flowering spring through fall, plants can have dozens of showy red flowers.
