Dear Valued
Customer,
As we
shared with you a little over three weeks ago, the owners of Mayacrops,
S.A. decided not to rebuild their Villa Canales production facility as a result
of the substantial damage inflicted on it by the eruption of the Pacaya
Volcano in early June.
In the
ensuing three weeks, we at ForemostCoŽ, Inc. have been working
closely with Luis Pacheco, the General Manager of Mayacrops, and his
Team, to evaluate the feasibility of rebuilding the farm and continuing
production and shipping with as little interruption as possible.
Can we rebuild and be as good as or even better than before?
We are
happy to share with you that although no easy task, the answer is YES,
we CAN! So we are establishing Vita Farms, S.A. to
take over, rebuild and operate this farm. The effort will be headed
by Luis with the full support of the Foremost Team.
Please
understand that the damage was significant. Luis and his Team have
worked very hard to both salvage the majority of the stock plants and
continue shipping uninterrupted, albeit on a more limited basis.
Going forward we can expect some serious challenges and no doubt some
setbacks. This is where we ask for your patience and continued
support. We believe this to be a long standing and important source
of excellent propagative material which our Industry needs.
We want to
take this opportunity to thank the owners of Mayacrops for all their help
with this transition. It simply could not have been done without
their support.
Now is when
the real work begins. We are committed to make this as smooth a
transition as possible and to continue to serve your needs as we have
done for almost 25 years. In the end we are certain we will have an
even better source of Quality cuttings for you, our Valued Customers.
Very sincerely yours,
