ForemostCo®, Inc. is a leading grower and distributor of ornamental starter plants, annuals, perennials, foliage and landscape material to the worldwide floriculture industry.

ForemostCo® actively searches out and creates new product and now has dozens of proprietary products with an equal number currently under development. Since its inception in 1987, it has become the largest importer of live plants to the U.S., accounting for more than 20% of all plants brought into the country.

ForemostCo’s network provides a steady supply and wide array of young plants, including year round availability of cuttings (rooted and un-rooted), vegetative and tissue cultured liners, air-layered plants, seeds, bulbs, canes and rhizomes.

ForemostCo® is setting the standard for the ornamental industry. Rather than simply feeding existing markets, its initiatives to create new products and new production methods, mean additional profit opportunities for both customers and suppliers. By integrating worldwide operations, ForemostCo® is able to source quality young plants—both traditional varieties and cutting-edge product that is just being introduced to the market--and utilize the most cost effective production techniques. To further ensure the most consistent quality, ForemostCo® conducts regular inspections and continuously works to perfect plant uniformity and performance.

Supplier/Distribution Network
ForemostCo® has a strong sourcing network throughout Malaysia, Thailand, China and Taiwan, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Brazil, South Africa, Denmark, Holland, and Australia, as well as throughout the U.S. and Canada.

ForemostCo® offers a wide variety and constantly changing selection of cuttings and rooted liner material. ForemostCo® provides its wholesale customers with cuttings and liners from both wholly-owned farms and over 100 strategic growers throughout Central America, the United States, the European Union and the Far East.

ForemostCo's Technological and Logistics Edge
By creating a highly automated, around-the-clock logistics department, ForemostCo® is able to provide ongoing tracking, rapid expediting, a network system of air and truck delivery, and a U.S. Customs-certified staff that handles customs brokerage and USDA clearance in-house. ForemostCo® is the only plant brokering company in the US that handles its own Customs and USDA clearance and runs its own fleet of temperature controlled trucks.

This fluid, integrated logistics operation has a sterling track record in careful product handling. ForemostCo® has never missed a single weekly shipping date since its founding in 1987 despite Hurricane Andrew, 9/11 and other catastrophic events.

The Numbers
• ForemostCo® employs over 200 throughout its operations:
o 75 are employed in the Miami headquarters;
o 30 in ForemostCo® and Phoenix Foliage’s Central Florida operations;
o Over 100 in the Costa Rican operations.
• Phoenix Foliage produces over 10 million liners per year.
• The Costa Rica farming operations encompass 480 acres.
• Eighty acres of a Costa Rican operation are devoted to
reforestation.
• Exclusive ForemostCo® suppliers in Central America employ an additional 2300 workers and encompass in excess of 5000 acres of production area.
